Parish Ministries

For dates and times, please see our parish calendar.

Choir & Schola: Our choir and schola bring to life one of the highest points of the liturgy. If you are interested in being a part of either group, please contact the Choir Director, Anne Marie Vogel, at choir@stjoanarc.com.

Altar Boys’ Guild: Altar servers have the privilege of participating in the Mass by assisting the priest on the altar itself. Find out how the boys and young men of the parish can get involved by clicking here here.

Men’s Group: Meets every third Saturday from 7-9 P.M.

Focus Group: Once a month on Wednesday evenings, from 7-9 pm.  A priest leads the Rosary and gives a talk to men who are interested in focused growth in the spiritual life.  The emphasis of this group is to focus on topics of dogmatic theology, moral theology or ascetical theology, to help each one grow in his prayer life, holiness and knowledge of the faith, with the aim of passing this on to his family.  This is a subset of the Men’s Group.

Women’s Group: For meeting times, please see our parish calendar.

Youth Group (ages 13-18): Meets every second Saturday; location varies.

From the Youth Group’s recent Sledding Party:

St. Tarcisius Group (ages 4-12): St. Tarcisius is a mental prayer group led by Fr. Flick that meets every fourth Saturday from 3:00-5:00 P.M.

Little Flowers (girls ages 4-12): Meets every third Saturday from 10:30-11:30 A.M.

Catechism: Meets every Monday from 6:30-7:30 P.M.

Ushers: Ushers fulfill one of the most important roles in the parish, and are charged with overseeing the security of the parishioners and maintaining general order and efficiency. For information about how you can serve in this capacity, contact the main office at (208) 660-6036.
